Aimed at companies in the sector, the service provides expert support during the initial stages of the application process, from feasibility analysis to project preparation

Following the first online seminar exclusively for partners, held as part of the Mining and Quarry Restoration Network (RMC) Working Groups, the organisation has announced the launch of a new technical support service for companies interested in applying for funding from the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI).
This first session, focused on promoting CDTI funding opportunities for the restoration of mining sites, featured the participation of ecological restoration expert Ignacio Mola Caballero de Rodas, who explained the key points for accessing the various support instruments available: low-interest loans, non-repayable funding and tax incentives, among others.
As a natural follow-up to this meeting, the RMC Network will offer individualised advice to companies in the sector —whether or not they are Network partners— interested in developing innovative mining restoration projects. The service will focus on the initial stages of the process: from analysing the feasibility of the initial idea to formulating the project and preparing the application.
“Our aim is to reduce barriers to accessing these funds, which are still little known or underused in the field of mining restoration,” the organisation explains. “We want to make it easier for companies to turn their ideas into viable, fundable projects,” they add.
The support will be provided by professionals with extensive experience in R&D&I in ecological restoration. The RMC Network does not set a fixed budget; instead, each case will be assessed individually. Interested companies can request information and a quotation by writing to info@restauracionminas.org or through this form: https://forms.gle/xLJV4ifM2BvBsd3b8. In addition, partner organisations will receive a 20% discount on the total cost of the service.
With this initiative, the RMC Network strengthens its commitment to fostering collaboration between the business and academic sectors, promoting innovation and the effective use of existing funding opportunities within Spain’s National R&D&I System.
